Julie is a passionate and energetic physiotherapist who brings both clinical expertise and a lifelong love of movement to her practice. She grew up dancing and continues to dance as an adult, alongside her involvement in sport. A former dual varsity athlete in rugby and Nordic skiing, Julie thrived on the rugby field, representing Ontario at the U17 and U19 levels, as well as Canada U20. Julie understands firsthand the physical and mental demands of performance and recovery. She rarely turns down an opportunity to be active—from racquet sports and rock climbing to running, cycling, rowing, skiing, and dancing—and enjoys helping others stay active in the activities they love.
With over 14 years of experience, Julie is dedicated to delivering personalized, one-on-one care that helps clients recover, move better, and thrive in both sport and everyday life. She works with individuals of all ages and abilities, supporting them through injury recovery, performance goals, and long-term health and wellness.
Julie completed her Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto after earning dual undergraduate degrees in Life Sciences and Physical and Health Education from Queen’s University. She has continued to expand her clinical expertise through advanced training in dry needling, manual therapy, movement assessment, and concussion rehabilitation.
Known for her collaborative, client-centred approach, Julie integrates hands-on treatment with active rehabilitation to create practical, goal-oriented plans tailored to each individual. She has extensive experience treating a wide range of conditions—from acute injuries to chronic pain and post-operative recovery—with a strong focus on restoring movement and building long-term resilience.
Julie believes that optimal mobility and stability are the foundation for both performance and injury prevention. She works closely with each client, emphasizing education, self-management, and meaningful goal setting to support lasting results and confident movement.
Outside the clinic, Julie enjoys spending time with her three children and making the most of the outdoors with their dog and flock of chickens. She loves camping, canoeing, and hiking, and values an active, outdoor lifestyle both personally and professionally.
Patty Fraser (she/her) - patty@apexguelphphysio.ca
Patty was an avid golfer and cross-country runner in her youth. She loves the outdoors and enjoys staying active through hiking, kayaking, yoga and pilates. Patty brings over 30 years of valued experience in orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, sports injury and post-surgical rehabilitation, and is dedicated to helping clients of all ages and activity levels to confidently return to the activities that matter most to them.
A graduate of the University of Western Ontario's Physical Therapy program, Patty's passion for physiotherapy began after experiencing its benefits firsthand as a young runner. She has since dedicated her career to helping people to move better and grow stronger, recover from injury, return to sport and achieve meaningful, lasting results.
Known for her warm, collaborative approach and her commitment to delivering client-centred, goal-oriented care, her treatment approach combines hands-on manual therapy with individualized exercise programming to optimize movement, strength, and function. She believes the best outcomes occur when clients are active participants in their recovery and works closely with each individual to develop treatment plans tailored to each client's goals, lifestyle, and priorities.
Committed to lifelong learning, Patty remains curious and fascinated by how the body moves and it’s ability to both heal and improve. She continues to expand her skills and knowledge to ultimately better serve her clients. Patty has completed extensive post-graduate training in manual therapy, movement and gait analysis, exercise rehabilitation, muscle imbalances, acupuncture, concussion management, and vestibular rehabilitation. She is ACC Level 1 Certified in Acupuncture.
Outside of the clinic, Patty had years of experience providing training and sideline care for her daughter’s hockey and softball teams. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting outside with her dog, hiking, kayaking, photography, reading and studying Spanish. She has a long bucket-list of places she’d love to travel to! Patty also speaks Spanish and French.
Danielle Bougie (she/her) - danielle@apexguelphphysio.ca
Danielle is a dedicated physiotherapist with over 14 years of experience in private practice, providing care for a wide range of orthopaedic, neurological, and sports-related conditions. She works with clients across all ages—from youth to older adults—and is passionate about helping each individual return to the activities that matter most to them.
With extensive experience managing both straightforward and complex cases—including post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic conditions—Danielle tailors her treatment to each client’s goals and lifestyle. She values ongoing professional development and continually refines her skills to ensure her care remains current and effective.
In addition to her clinical work, Danielle has played a leadership role in mentoring physiotherapy students, supporting their development and helping guide the next generation of clinicians. Her commitment to learning, teamwork, and high-quality care makes her a valued member of any clinical environment.
Outside the clinic, Danielle has a background in coaching youth ski racing, reflecting her lifelong connection to sport, movement, and performance.
